3rd-place qualifiers
Pick the 8 groups whose 3rd-place team advances to the Round of 32. Scored by group, not by exact team. The team shown in your prediction is based on who you predicted would finish 3rd in that group. But only the group letter is checked against official results.
Correct advancing group+2.5 pts
Wrong group0
Example: If you pick Group B and the actual 3rd-place team from Group B advances, you score +2.5. It does not matter whether your predicted 3rd-place team from Group B was the same team.
8 qualifiers × 2.5 pts = 20 pts max
Knockout exits: R32 / R16 / QF
You predict which round a team exits in, not who wins each match. Partial credit applies for being one stage off.
Group-stage exits give partial credit only for R32-exit predictions. R16 and QF exit predictions for a group-stage eliminated team score 0.

Rules & winner
The challenge allowed one global entry per user, submitted before the lock deadline. Entries are now closed and submitted predictions remain locked and visible. Scores are calculated from official tournament results. Under the challenge rules, the global winner is the entry with the highest total score after the tournament is fully scored.
If entries are tied, baplab may apply reasonable tie-breakers or offer an equivalent shared/alternative prize.
Prize
The global winner receives one licensed football jersey of their choice, up to €150 / $150 equivalent, subject to availability, retailer support, and shipping feasibility. The winner may choose a national team or club jersey. It does not have to be from a World Cup participating team.
Special editions, signed shirts, match-worn shirts, resale listings, rare collector items, and custom printing may be excluded. If the selected jersey cannot be fulfilled or shipped reasonably, baplab may offer a comparable jersey, gift card, or equivalent alternative.
Tie-breaker
If players finish level on total points, ties are broken in order by:
1. Higher final placements score
2. Higher Golden Boot score
3. Earlier submission time
Eligibility
To be eligible, submit a complete prediction before predictions lock. Private mini league rankings are separate and do not affect the prize. Only the global leaderboard counts.
